About the SVCA Scholarship:
We are a non-profit association of concierge, corporate meeting planners, hoteliers, visitor bureaus, restaurants, attractions, museums, wineries, theaters, and tourism industry leaders.
Since 1995 the Silicon Valley Concierge Association has been recognized as the leading professional organization dedicated to the education and advancement of its members. We believe that networking and knowledge benefit all of us. The art of creating and maintaining positive relationships is a significant success factor in this industry and the SVCA is committed to cultivating the next generation of hospitality leaders and sustaining our industry. The Silicon Valley Concierge Association Hospitality Scholarship awards up to $2,500 to full time students pursuing hospitality and event management degrees in Santa Clara County.
Deadline for applications: February 29, 2020
These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic proficiency, extra-curricular involvement, and commitment to the hospitality industry. The scholarships must be applied directly toward the recipient’s educational expenses (tuition, room and board, books and fees). Applicants should be in good academic standing and an active registered student at the time of application.
Silicon Valley Concierge Scholarship award recognizes hospitality programs for their dedication, focus, and commitment to the Hospitality Industry. Eligible hospitality programs must be offered through an accredited Santa Clara County university, community college or educational institution.
Applicant Evaluation Procedures:
Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee consisting of SVCA members and hospitality educators. Top candidates may be invited to a personal interview with the selection committee. Selection to participate in a personal interview is based on the original application submitted. Second application package or additions to the original package are not permitted after the submission deadline.
All applicants will be notified by mail. Winner must be willing to attend an awards event to receive their award.
